One Shots: written by Melissa :)

For Anon:

I was sitting in my art studio working on my latest piece. All around me were the scraps from my last project, a sculpture of a carrot for my best friend Louis.

We had been best friends our whole lives, me and him. We had known each other since preschool when he stole my stuffed pigeon during nap time. He had named it Kevin.

The next day, he had apologized for stealing Kevin and tried to give him back, but I let him keep it. He still has Kevin now, and he is a reminder of the friendship that we share.

“EMILIAAAA!!!!!! How are you doing today love? I brought you some Nandos, your favorite.” Louis called from outside the door.

“Louis!! Hey, umm don’t come in yet!” I  panicked, throwing a blanket over the sculpture.

“Too late. Woah this place is a mess! Want me to help you clean it?”

“Why are you so perfect?” I asked, smiling from ear to ear.

“Knock Knock. Louis are you in here?” Came a voice from outside.

“Yeah man, come on in.” Louis yelled across the studio, his mouth full of chicken.

“Louis…. who’s…”

Just then, I saw just about the most beautiful guy I had ever seen walk through the door. He was wearing a polo that was buttoned all the way to the top, light brown skinny jeans, and a pair of brand new gray supras. He had brown wavy hair that stopped right above his eyebrows and the prettiest eyes..

“Hello? Is this your studio or not?” Gorgeous boy said, taking me out of my trance and smiling the award winning smile I would come to know so well.

“Uh, I, well, yes. Yes it is. Why do you ask?” I replied, looking down and blushing slightly.

“Its beautiful. And is this your work? It’s amazing. How long have you been an artist?”

“I, umm, well I… I wouldn’t call myself an artist…”

“She’s been an artist ever since kindergarten.” Louis said with a smile. “Emilia do you remember the first drawing you ever made? The one of me holding Kevin?” He turned to Gorgeous boy. “It was a stick figure drawing, but I could tell from that moment that she was going to be an artist when she grew up.” Now he turned to me with a big smile. “And I was right.”

I just looked down, blushing uncontrollably. i could feel gorgeous boy staring at me.

“Well you sure were right Louis. Emilia is it? Your work is breathtaking. My best friend Zayn is really into art as well. Louis and I are meeting him for tea soon. You should come yeah?”

I looked up at Louis, who was still stuffing his face with chicken, but stopped momentarily to give me a big smile, mouth full of chicken and all.

I just laughed at my best friend. He always knew how to break the ice.

“Sure. I would love to. Let me just get some money and I’ll…”

“Oh no need love. Ill pay for you. We can just call it a date then.” He smiled that smile again and I melted a bit.

“A… a date?” I found myself blushing again.

“Well…” Now he was blushing. “I mean… if you are ok with it. I don’t want to push you into anything you don’t want to do I just..”

“NO!! I mean, no you’re not pushing me into anything. I’ve just… this is my first date.” I said, looking at the floor.

I had always been shy. I was also scared of a lot of things. Taking risks was definitely one of those things.

“Oh. Well then it would be my pleasure.” Gorgeous boy said again, holding out his hand and smiling from ear to ear.

I took it and smiled back.

“I’m Liam by the way. It’s an honor to be taking you on your first date.” Laim said, intertwining his fingers with mine

“I’m Emilia. Thank you. Its my pleasure.” I replied, the electricity from his skin touching mine leaving me speechless.

“I knew you two would work out. I just knew it.” Louis said from behind us, obviously proud his little set-up had worked.

And with that, a beautiful relationship bloomed. :)

The End. <3

For Sarah:

I had just left the studio and I was walking home. I had always loved walking home. I lived in a small town and the only way to get anywhere was cutting through the town center. It was filled with a lot of small shops that mostly sold vintage items that you could only find at yard sales, which is the only way the stores got their merchandise. They would go around to different yard sales around the world and bring back items. It was brilliant really. The things they found were one of a kind and filled with memories.

They each told their own stories. Each story having different meanings and different passions, meaning different things to everybody who knew them. This made them unique, one of a kind.

I was walking past the pet store when I happened to look through the window.

Thats when I saw her.

The most beautiful girl I had ever layed eyes on.

She had black hair that ended about halfway down her back. She had hazel eyes you could get lost in and tan skin that glowed. She was wearing a cream colored dress covered in a rose pattern that exemplified her beauty and made her absolutely glow. She was holding a small kitten and kicking a ball with a young golden retriever puppy.

Something about her made my heart go weak. This feeling inside overwhelmed me, made me feel like I knew her my whole life, but also needed to know everything about her.

My feet started walking, and before I knew it, I was pushing open the door to the store.

The bell on the door made a loud ding as I walked in, causing her to turn and glance at me. She looked me up and down, starting at my feet, and slowly her eyes moved up to my face, and she made eye contact with me. After a few moments, she looked away, blushing. I realized that I had been staring at her the whole time, and I quickly focused my attention to the dog she had been playing with. It noticed me and stumbled over to me, holding the ball in his mouth.

I bent down and took the ball, moving it back and forth across the ground while the dog pawed at it, following it every time it moved. He eventually started to nibble on my hands.

“Scout! Don’t bite the visitors! Im terribly sorry. He’s still in training.” The girl spoke, her voice making my head throb. She was so perfect.

“Oh, that’s alright. I have two dogs at home. They were puppies once too, and much more misbehaved than this little guy.” I said, rubbing the dogs belly. He was now laying on his back, tongue out with his eyes closed soaking up the attention I was giving him.

“Really?! What kind of dogs?” She asked, smiling.

“Well one of them is a palmeranian. And the other has a lot of different breeds in him, so we don’t exactly know what he is.” I answered, still nervous around her beauty.

“Im Sarah, by the way. What’s your name?” Sarah said, switching the kitten to one hand, and holding out the other for me to shake.

“Zayn. Zayn Malik.” As I went to shake her hand, the kitten started pawing  at my fingers, causing Sarah to focus her attention on the small animal.

“Mittens, behave yourself. Im sorry Zayn. It’s feeding time, they’re usually more behaved than this.”

“No problem. Do you want some help? Im great with animals. Once I found a hurt baby bird in my backyard and nursed it back to health.” I picked up the puppy and rubbed behind it’s ears.

“Really?! AWWWWWW That is the cutest thing I have ever heard! Sure! And while we feed them, you better tell me the whole story!”

“Sure thing beautiful,” I said, causing her to blush. She quickly looked down, trying to cover it up, but I could still see her breathtaking smile.

We fed the animals in the store one by one and told each other stories for the next few hours. Sarah was wonderful and I knew getting to know her would be the best decision I had ever made.

“Oh my goodness, look at the time! My shift is almost over.” Sarah said, starting to look rather sad.

It was getting rather late, and I guessed she saw the sad look on my face because she quickly spoke again.

“But it was amazing getting to know you Zayn. You are one of the sweetest boys I have ever met. It’s getting harder to find people like you these days, everyone is so fake.” She took her apron off and folded it, resting her elbows on the counter and putting her head in her hands. She looked up at me with those big green eyes I was beginning to love so much.

“Coming into this store was the best decision of my life Sarah. I am so lucky to be able to get to know you. You are truly amazing and a beautiful person, inside and out. Please don’t ever forget that. And never, ever change for anybody.”

Her eyes were glowing, staring straight into my soul. “Will I ever see you again, Zayn Malik?”

I bent down and copied her position, our faces inches apart. I could smell her perfect scent, my heart beating faster than it ever had before.

Suddenly, my forehead was touching hers, our eyes beating into each others. I never thought I would feel something more magical, until our heads leaned in, and her soft lips pressed against my own, giving me an electric feeling that I had never felt before. I never wanted this moment to end.

A few moments passed, and we pulled away, our eyes still closed from the passion of the kiss.

“Does that answer your question?” I said, my whole body trembling.

I opened my eyes to see hers were still closed, but she was biting her bottom lip, nodding slowly. She opened her eyes and a huge smile formed on her face when she saw me looking at her.

I knew at that moment that something amazing would come of us.

And it did. :)

The End!

For Anon:

I closed my locker and zipped my bookbag that was stuffed with books. I had loads of homework to do tonight. Not that I was going to do it though. I had a Skype date with my best friend, Niall.

He was gone on tour and I hadn’t seen him in two and a half months. Tonight was our friendship anniversary. We’ve celebrated it every year for 17 years. Just because he was hundreds of miles away didn’t mean we were going to miss this year.

“Rosalina!!! Wait up! Wanna go grab some tea love?”

I turned around and smiled at my other best friend, Danielle. The three of us had been best friends since before we can remember. We did everything together. I had always been closer to Niall, so the fact that he was gone so much recently gave me and Danielle a chance to become closer, which we had.

“Of course babes! Lets go!”

The three of us had been going to Chloe’s, our favorite cafe, for about 4 years now. Since Niall was gone, it had just been me and Danielle.

~

When we got to Chloe’s, we bought our tea and sat at our normal table. It was right by the front window, which made it easy to see people walk by.

“See blond lady over there? Ok, she has 19 children, 3 husbands and oh! See that guy walking behind her? Thats her blackmailer. He’s going to tell her first husband about the other two because he is secretly in love with her!” I laughed at Danielle’s story.

Every time we came to this bakery we would look out at the people and make up stories for each one. It always kept us laughing and it was never boring.

“My turn? Alright well that lady over there…”

“Oh my god!!! Rosie I have to go!!! I am so sorry!!!! I’m late for dance!!!” Danny started to panic and was stuffing her things into her bag.

Next thing I knew Danielle was out the door and sprinting through the city.

She was the best dancer I knew. She had loads of colleges fighting for her and offering her full scholarships and free merchandise. She had turned most of them down, however. She had applied to be a backup dancer for X factor, and she was still waiting to hear back from them.

After Danny left I packed up my stuff, threw away our trash, and began the long walk home.

Once I got there I was exhausted. Danielle usually drove me home on her way to practice, but today she obviously couldn’t.

I hated walking home. I was always mobbed by directioners who knew me as Niall’s best friend. They were the nicest people, but they always asked me questions and tried to invade my privacy. I still talked to every one of them though, not wanting to disappoint any One Direction fangirls.

Besides, I was proud of Niall. I loved Niall.

Not that I would ever admit it to him. We had too great of a friendship for that. And I didn’t want to lose him. Without him, I am nothing.

I walked upstairs and pushed open the door to my room. I was greeted by the wall of posters staring at me. Most were pictures of me with Niall and Danny. Some were of us skiing, some of us painting, and some of us from our past camping trips. Every year we went camping for a week. That was my favorite week of every year.

Along with the pictures on my wall, there were my awards from school. I was very good in French and English, and I had won many contests in the past few years.

One certificate, my favorite, caught my attention. It was the certificate from three years ago, when I had won my first spelling bee. I remember Niall had come over for weeks in advance and helped me practice.

The night before the bee, was the best memory of all.

We were sitting in my room. We had been studying all day, so we were taking a break. Niall had brought his guitar and was playing me a song. I can still remember how perfect his voice was and how his blue eyes looked in the dim light of my room.

“Girl I love, girl I love you. Girl I love, girl I love you.” Those were the words he sang. I had thought I saw something in his eyes that night. Something that told me maybe he had feelings for me. Feelings that would make us more than friends. I wasn’t sure if that was the reason why, but that was the night that I had fallen in love with Niall Horan.

I quickly jumped out of my trance when I looked at the clock. It was time for my Skype date with Niall.

I quickly logged onto my computer, checking my Skype to see if I had missed a call from Niall.

He wasn’t online.

He had told me 7:30 sharp.

Where was he?

I shook it off and placed my computer next to me, keeping myself logged in. Maybe he was caught up after the show. He would be on soon.

A few hours later I had finished all of my homework and still no call from Niall.

I was getting worried.

Maybe he forgot.

Maybe he doesn’t care anymore.

It was 9:00 now and I was exhausted.

I closed my computer and layed in bed, letting the tears fall and eventually falling asleep.

~

I awoke when I felt someone sit on the edge of my bed.

I slowly opened my eyes to see a dark figure sitting next to me in the pitch black of night.

“M-Mom?” I said sleepily.

“Nope love. It’s me” I heard a beautiful Irish accent say.

“Niall?” I sat up. “What are you doing here?”

“It’s our anniversary love. You did’t think I would forget did you?” He placed his hand on mine and a shot of electricity woke me up.

“Well you weren’t on Skype and I thought..”

“I was on a plane on my way home. I wanted to tell you in person.” Even in complete darkness I could see him smiling.

“Tell me? Tell me what?”

“Rosie, we have been friends for a very long time,” He shifted his body closer to mine and grabbed my other hand, causing my stomach to turn. “Do you remember three years ago when I was helping you practice for the spelling bee? And I was singing one time to you, claiming that I was just singing that song because it was the one I knew best?” He waited for my answer.

I laughed at the happiness of the memory. “Yes, and you sang that same part over and over because it was your favorite.”

“Well I was lying. I was singing it because it was true. Ever since that night, I have been completely in love with you.”

There were no words spoken for what seemed like forever. I was shaking, not knowing what to say. Finally my heart spoke for me.

“Niall I… I am in love with you too. I have been ever since that night. Something just…. clicked.”

I heard him sigh of relief. I felt the same way.

Suddenly his dark figure became bigger, closer.

My heart was beating at the speed of light and I knew what was coming.

Just then, the greatest feeling swept across me. For the next few minutes, all I could think about were the memories of Niall and I. I thought back to my favorite moments, realizing that I had loved him all along. I had just never realized it.

When we finally drew apart, I felt his warm body lay down next to me in the bed, wrapping his strong arms around me. I could have lived in that moment forever.

The End :)

For Anon:

I was walking home from the store when I saw the moving truck and boxes. I had known someone was moving in, but I didn’t expect it to be so soon. Maybe they had kids and wanted them to be here in time for school, which started tomorrow.

I shook it off and turned into my driveway across the street. I grabbed the mail on the way in and looked through it while I walked. Most of it was bills. The last envelope, however, contained the letter I had been waiting for all week. It was from my pen pal.

We had met online and had been writing to each other for about a year now. He lived in Holmes Chapel, I lived in London. He was my age and we had a lot in common. We always had a lot to talk about. We had become closer than friends about halfway through the year, and were trying to find a way to meet each other.

I unlocked the back door and threw the rest of the mail on the countertop, opening my envelope as i walked upstairs. I let my book bag fall to the ground and pulled the oddly colored sheets of paper out of the small orange envelope.

I read through the letter, which explained why it had taken him so long to write back. He said he had been moving. He didn’t say where, but the envelope still had his old address written on it, so I assumed he had sent it before he left.

Once I finished reading the letter, I stuck it in my back pocket, and sat down at my desk, deciding to write him back later. I looked at the sketch pad in front of me. I had thought of a brand new design today that I couldn’t wait to get started on.

It was a little stuffy in my room so I decided to open up the window above where I was sitting.

I sat back down and began drawing.

When I was done, I held it up for final approval. All of a sudden, the paper with my design flew out of my hands and the wind carried it out the window, followed by all the other designs I had laying out. I quickly shut the window and sprinted downstairs. By the time I got outside, the papers were all over my yard. I ran and picked them all up, noticing some were missing. I looked up and sure enough, the last few were in the lawn across the street, next to the moving truck.

I quickly walked over to pick them up, hoping nobody would notice me. As soon as I got to the last paper, I saw a large, muscular hand grab it first.

I looked up and straight into a sparkling pair of green eyes, forcing me to get lost for a few moments. I was quickly snapped back into reality when I saw him smile at me, handing me the paper. Right when I was about to grab it, he pulled it back, looking at it.

“Wow. This is absolutely amazing. Did you draw this?” He looked mesmerized by the design.

“Yes, well I… yes.” I said quickly, blushing and trying to grab the design back. He quickly pulled it back.

He looked at the designs in my hand, and stuck his out, signaling me to hand them to him. I hesitated, but he smiled again, his dimples making me feel that I could trust him. He politely took them from my hands.

“You should really show somebody these. Somebody who works at a fashion magazine or something. These are really good. You have true talent.” He was flipping through all of them, taking his time on each one to notice every detail.

“No I don’t. I was just messing around. They’re no big deal. Anybody could do that.” I said, doubting myself.

“Maybe, but not anybody could do it this well. Whats your name? I’m Harry.”

“I’m Jane. It’s nice to meet you. You just moved here I see. What school will you be going to?”

“Johnson Park High. What about you? What school do you go to?” Harry said, looking deeply into my eyes, causing my knees to go weak.

“I go to Johnson Park High as well. If you need any help finding a class or something, just let me know.” I said with a huge smile on my face. I always loved to help people.

“Thank you very much Jane. I might take you up on that offer.” He stuck his hand out, offering to shake mine. “I hope to be seeing a lot more of you.” He let the biggest smile play onto his face and his dimples were bigger than ever.

I took his outstretched hand in mine and shook it. “You too Harry.” I gave him one last smile, turning on my heel and starting to walk home.

I felt a strong hand on my arm and I quickly turned back around, realizing that harry was staring at my butt.

“Umm, may I help you Harry?” I asked, starting to feel self conscious.

He turned me around and took the small orange envelope out of my back pocket, studying it intensely.

“Where did you get this?” He asked, suddenly his tone serious.

I gave him a weird look. “From my pen pal. I got it.. Hey! That’s personal! Give it back!” He had opened the envelope and started reading the letter.

“Jane I….”

“Harry! No! Stop!” I yelled, trying to grab the letter from his hand. I failed, he was taller than me and I couldn’t reach his hand that was now stretched above his head.

“JANE! This is my letter. I wrote this. I am your pen pal.” Harry said, his green eyes piercing into my soul.

“W-What?” Suddenly everything was spinning. I had told my pen pal, I mean Harry, everything. I had even fallen in complete love with him. He had told me that he felt the same way.

“Jane I… This is the best day of my life. I never thought I would be face to face with the girl I love.”

“The girl you…. you..”

Suddenly his lips crashed against mine. Everything bad in the world turned to good. All my fears and failures meant nothing anymore.

When we pulled away, we both knew that nothing would be the same again, everything would change.

The End <3

For Abbey:

I walked out into the club, the lights overpowering me.

I looked up at Louis, wanting nothing more than to run on the dance floor and let the music take me where it wanted to.

I moved my hands from around my boyfriend’s arm and intertwined my fingers with his, pulling him onto the dance floor. I stopped underneath the disco ball, the music making me lose control. We had both had a few drinks, making us even more uncontrollable and crazy.

We started dancing, just enjoying each others presence, the rest of the room didn’t exist. The music changed to a slow song and Louis put his strong hands around my waist, pulling me in closer. Our foreheads touched as we stared into each other’s eyes, never wanting to look away. I wrapped my arms around his neck and ran my fingers through his soft hair.

“Have I told you how beautiful you are tonight?” He asked, his warm breath tickling my ear.

“Only about a hundred and one times.” I said, trying to contain my smile.

He was suddenly closer. “Make that one hundred and two.” His lips were grazing my skin.

I just closed my eyes, trying to take in this moment, and remember it forever.

We stayed there dancing for what I wished was forever, Louis’ scent making my heart melt.

The song changed again and was now faster. I didn’t let go of Louis until he pulled away and began dancing at a much faster speed.

Suddenly the crowd around us was closer and before I could realize what was going on, I couldn’t see Louis anymore.  I tried to find him in the mass of bodies but all that I could see were people I didn’t know.

I finally pulled away from the crowd and was now standing on the outskirts of the dance floor full of people. It was much cooler over here, mostly because I was not overcrowded by bodies on all sides. I looked around and saw Liam and Danielle over by the bar. Danielle was drinking a beer and Liam was drinking water, ever the designated driver.

“Hey Abs. What’s up?” Liam said, pulling me in tightly for a hug.

“Well I was with Lou, but now I have no idea where he is. Hey Danny.” I reached out my arms and Danielle squeezed her way in between them, hugging me back.

I stood there and talked to my best friends for a few more songs. Most people had left the dance floor to get something to eat or get a drink, so I decided I better look for Louis again.

When I finally saw the familiar brown hair, he was turned the other way. He was holding a beer in one hand, the other stretched up above his head as he swayed to the beat.

It was then that I noticed her.

A small blond girl, definitely a model, was slowly making her way to my boyfriend. When she finally reached her destination, she began dancing on his body, not worrying about who was watching. I trusted Louis, so I don’t think much of it at first. Until the next few moments changed every thought I had.

The blond girl, whom I soon found out was named Hannah and was Louis ex girlfriend, turned around, grasping Louis face in her hands and kissing him passionately.

The kiss lasted for a good minute, neither of them pulling away. They separated when another couple bumped into them. It was then that Louis turned and saw me. His eyes were big and full of regret as his beer bottle dropped to the floor and glass shattered everywhere.

I couldn’t face him. Not here, not now.

So I ran.

I burst out of the club, my heel making it hard to run. As i pulled them off, I never stopped running. I stumbled here and there but I didn’t care who saw. I needed to get away as fast as I could. It was pouring rain, which made it almost impossible to see where I was going.

I followed the street lights until I found myself in an open field. I dropped down to the ground, tears forming in my eyes. I did nothing to stop them, just let my sobs shake my whole body. I was wearing my favorite dress, the one I had been wearing when I had first met Louis.

I was still shaking as I let the memories overcome me.

My flashback was interrupted when I felt a body collapse beside me. I looked up to find a sobbing Louis, drenched in a mixture of tears and rain. He dried my tears and healed my head in his hands.

“Ab, baby I never meant for that to happen. I was drunk and since Hannah was the one who broke up with me, I never thought anything would happen. I didn’t mean to hurt you.” His tears were not subsiding, causing his face to appear puffier than usual.

“You could have pulled away. But you didn’t Louis, you didn’t.” His hands moved from my face to my hands, threading his fingers through mine.

“I know. And I made a mistake. I understand If you never give me a second chance but please Abbey, please forgive me.”

I knew he didn’t mean to hurt me. If he truly loved me, I knew he would come after me, and he did.

I moved his soaking wet hair out of his face and slowly brought my lips to his. He tasted like regret and forgiveness.

“I could never lose you Louis. I love you so much.” I whispered against his lips, kissing him once more.

“I love you more than anything else Abbey. Never leave me”

The End :)

For Ana:

I remember it perfectly.

The night we first met.

How could I forget?

It was the best night of my life.

He walked into the store, my moms bakery. I didn’t notice him at first, I just assumed he was a normal customer. I was quite busy actually, considering it was almost closing time and I was working hard on cleaning up the small room.

He walked up to the counter, just stood, waiting for me to serve him.

“Hold on just one moment please.” I said, still focusing on my cleaning.

“Sure thing love.” The figure replied. I could tell from his voice that he was a boy. And I could tell from a short glance that he was a blond boy. About my age. And that he was staring at me.

A few moments passed as I continued to center all my attention around the menacing spot on the granite counter top that I had been working on during the time he had been there.

He hadn’t stopped staring at me.

I finally gave up and slowly looked up to see the most beautiful boy I had ever seen smiling back at me from ear to ear. “May I help you?” I asked, trying not to stare at every piece of perfection that made up his flawless character.

“Actually, yes…”

There was a long pause before he spoke again.

“What’s good here?” He said, focusing his heart stopping eyes on the contents of the display case under me. I couldn’t help but smile at him.

“Well I would hope everything would be, considering that we spend so much time making it all by hand every morning.” I was still smiling.

“Hmmmmm.” He had a confused look on his face as he stared at the menu above my head. I had to try my hardest not to giggle over his adorableness as his eyes made their way back to my face and he said, “Well what’s your favorite thing on the menu?”

I paused. I had never been asked that question before. It was always about the customer and making them happy. I was completely stuck, and I think he could tell because his face changed back onto a smile, his eyes becoming even more deep than before. I was still deep in thought when I was interrupted by his stunning Irish accent.

“You make all the food don’t you?” He was still smiling while he said this. My confused faced turned into a more friendly one. “Yes I do” I breathed, laughing slightly when I noticed how concentrated I had been on his question. “So I don’t think my opinion would do much good” I smiled.

I couldn’t believe how calm I was being.

But

What if I was imagining being so collected when in reality, I was babbling like a complete nutter? What if I had something on my face? Or in my teeth?

But my worries were quickly wiped away by his breathtaking smile, and I couldn’t help but feel calmed.

“Surprise me.” He said while suddenly staring deeply into my eyes and resting his elbows on the counter that was separating us.

It took all that I had in me to tear away from his gaze and I walked to the back of the store. I had been experimenting this morning and trying out different things to eventually sell. Most of them had been horrific but one in particular had been a complete success. It had originally been a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting. I had taken this ordinary delectable delight and added an extra twist.

I had made a new kind of filling with cream cheese frosting, a special japanese vanilla flavoring, and a hint of raspberry and filled the cupcake with it. I topped it off with an array of beautiful and edible decorations that I was very proud of and put it in the freezer.

I had made one, tried it and loved it, so I made another one. I was saving it to bring home for my mother to try, but I decided that this was a special occasion and she wouldn’t mind.

I opened the freezer, grabbed the cupcake and put it on plate. After I perfected the decorations once again and gained up the courage, I took a deep breath and walked towards the counter, plate in hand.

When I got out there, he was looking at a newspaper someone had left on the counter earlier that day. When he was me, however, it was although it didn’t exist. He quickly slammed it shut, threw it on the table, and stood up straight, brushing his shirt down in the front.

His eyes never left mine.

I placed the plate on the counter top that separated us and told him it was on the house.

He didn’t pick it up yet though, just kept staring at me.

“I’ll only not pay on one condition. You sit and share it with me.”

I eventually gave in and sat and ate it with him. He loved it and told me I should start selling it. I later found out his name was Niall Horan and named the cupcake after him.

We started dating a few weeks later and every day since the first he has come in at the same time, asked for a Nialler, and sat down at our table and waited for me to join him.

And I always do.

For Whatever Your Name Is ;) :

Oh god.

Todays the day.

The day I dread all year.

Valentines Day.

I have always hated Valentines Day. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice idea, if you’re in love. Or if someones in love with you. But if you’re lonely, you might as well hide away and not come out all day.

So that’s what I plan to do.

Since I have just woken up on this dreadful, terrible day, I will go downstairs, get breakfast, come back upstairs, and sleep again.

The longer I’m asleep, the less of this day I have to experience.

~

I went downstairs and grabbed a bowl of cereal, eating it as fast as I could. On the table next to me, I saw what my parents had gotten each other for Valentines Day. My parents had always had a very good relationship, one I hope to have one day.

I got myself out of my trance as I finished eating and walked upstairs to my bed. I layed down, letting myself drift into an array of dreams, and eventually falling into a deep sleep.

~

“Knock knock sleepy head! WAKE UP!!!!”

“w-what?” I was obviously still sleeping, not expecting to be woken up.

“I said get up! I’m taking you out.” I looked up and saw my best friend Harry sitting down next to me on the bed.

“Harry, you know I hate Valentines Day. Therefore, I refuse to go out. Therefore…… leave.” I said as I rolled back over onto my side and attempted to go back to sleep.

Just then he ripped the covers off of my body, causing a gust of wind to sweep over me, making me cold.

“I know you hate Valentines Day. That’s why I’m taking you out. You eventually have to get over your fear.”

“Fear? What fear? I just hate being reminded of my failures at love” I said with a smile, punching him in the arm.

“Ow.” He rubbed his arm then smiled back. “Well come on then. Get dressed and we’ll go!” He got up off the bed and held his hand out for me to take.

I took it as I said, “And where exactly is it that were going?”

He smiled his cheeky smile. “It’s a surprise.”

~

We were sitting in the car and I had a blindfold on.

“Haz, where are we going? You’re killing me!”

“Shhh. Babe it’s a secret. Were almost there.”

A few moments later I felt the car come to a stop.

“Harryyyyyy. Can I please take this bloody thing off now?”

He laughed his adorable laugh. “No silly, were not there yet.”

I grunted as I sank in my seat. Just then, I felt a pair of large, muscular hands wrap around my waist and suddenly I was laying across a pair of shoulders, bouncing up and down with each step.

“Harry, what in bloody hell are you doing?!” I screamed while smacking him on the back with each word.

He didn’t answer, so I just crossed my arms and pouted until he finally came to a stop. He paused a moment before eventually putting me down on something hard.

“Almost time for you to take your blindfold off, just wait a moment.”

He sounded far away, and I heard noises in the background. However, they weren’t clear enough for me to tell what they were.

A few moments passed and suddenly all I could hear was silence.

“H-Harry?” I stuck my arms out and tried to find any sign that he was still there. It was then that I felt his hands grab mine, pulling me up until I was standing.

I felt his hands let go of mine as they made their way up to my blindfold, slowly sliding it up so I could see Harry’s face right in front of mine, his eyes piercing deeply into mine.

“Hello love.” He said while a beautiful smile played onto his lips. “I hope you like your surprise.”

He moved sideways, revealing a beautiful tablecloth set up on a small picnic table, complete with dinner and candles.

All I could do was stare in awe, not able to believe my eyes.

“Harry, what is all of this?” I looked over at him, his beautiful face was staring back at me.

He suddenly moved closer, closing the gap between us a little.

“I wanted this moment to be perfect, for when I tell you.” His eyes pierced into mine again, causing me to forget how to breathe.

“What moment? Tell me what?” By now, all I could think about was how perfect he was, the sun shining down on his flawless face, pointing out every piece that made up his breathtaking complexion.

He slowly moved closer, erasing any empty space that had existed between us.

“When I tell you how I feel.” He breathed, his head dipping in. “And this moment.”

All of a sudden, the world stopped as his lips brushed mine, causing me to catch my breath, forgetting how to breath. The world didn’t exist in this moment, only the exasperating feeling of his lips touching mine, the sweet smell of his being, the fantastic feel of his breath against my face. Nothing else mattered.

As we pulled away, our eyes were still closed, taking in every detail of the moment.

“I love you.” He whispered, opening his eyes, revealing a whole new world inside, one I would come to know better than life itself. One I could live in forever and never feel lonely.

“I love you too. More than you know.”  And with that, we kissed again, revealing a greater relationship between us, one that would never end.

The End :)

For Molly:

Have you ever thought about how much can change in a single moment? Your entire world could be flipped upside down. Sometimes for the better, but unfortunately sometimes also for the worse.

I remember just laying there, when it happened. I knew in that moment that everything would change completely, and I realized that I was finally ready. Ready to determine my fate.

~

I could barely open my eyes, but I could see him walk in. He was so beautiful, even in the darkness.

Seeing him in this moment made me go back. Back to the time when everything was just beginning.

~

“Come on Molly! I have something to show you!”

“Niall, we’ve been to this field a million times!”

It was our favorite place to go. We had gone every saturday since we became best friends, seven years ago.

“No Molly, something completely different. Just try to keep up will you!” He shouted as he took my hand and began to run. To where, I didn’t know. I wasn’t completely sure he knew either.

We ran for a few minutes, just exploring the open field until he suddenly stopped and turned to me, intertwining his fingers into mine.

“Ni, what are you doing?” I couldn’t help but smile and laugh in my happiness, until his face suddenly turned serious. He stood there a few minutes, piercing his blue eyes into mine before speaking again.

“Molly, do you promise you won’t judge me when I show you?” He seemed so sincere, I could’t help myself as a huge feeling of desire swept over me.

“I swear.” I whispered as I realized I was deeply studying his perfect face. I knew I was in love with my best friend, but I never dreamed he would ever feel the same way.

“Ok.” He slowly whispered as his eyes drifted closed and his face leaned in, closing most of the open space between our profiles.

I closed my eyes, letting the feeling of his breath tingling on my skin completely take over me. I could feel his lips graze mine, but he stopped suddenly, the feeling of unstoppable desire controlling my whole body. I couldn’t be without him any longer, so i softly moved in, so our lips were barely touching, sending a paralyzing shock down my entire body.

He smoothly forced his lips onto mine, completing the puzzle, and we began to kiss. Slowly at first, then with more force, more passion.

This was one of my favorite moments. I would never forget it. Not even after I was gone.

~

“Hey love, how are you feeling?” Niall says softly as he smiles and comes over and sits next to me on the bed.

I simply smile, looking up into his eyes as if for the last time.

He smiles even bigger back down at me, taking my hand in his and stroking it with his thumb.

I just look him over, determined to remember every detail about him in this exact moment.

He is wearing a pair of dark wash jeans, his favorite pair of grey supras, and his read collar shirt. It’s my favorite. Every time he wears it, I get an overwhelming flashback of two summers ago.

I close my eyes and let the memories take me back.

I stare out the window of my kitchen. I’m trying my hardest to hold in the tears. I feel a pair of strong hands wrap around my waist from behind, and I look up to see the reflection of my favorite face in the window. Niall rests his forehead on my shoulder, and I can feel that his face is still wet from recent tears.

I tangle my arms into his, and the emotions are too strong to keep contained any longer. I tilt my head back onto Niall’s shoulder and start to feel tears run down my face sideways. As they become stronger, I become weaker and i turn my head so that my nose rests on Niall’s cheek. I can tell he is holding in the tears, trying to keep me from getting upset. However, when he sees that I’ve lost it, i can feel him begin to cry, sniffling every so often.

We just sit here in silence for a while, lost in the sadness and strength of each others presence.

Niall suddenly lifts hid head, repositions his hands, and spins me around so I’m facing him.

“Molly,” He sniffles out, I can see the tears running down his face. “I know that this is hard, and saying this won’t help at all, but, I really don’t want to lose you.” He continues to cry, not even trying to stop the tears flowing down his face.

“Niall, you know you’ll never lose me.” I slowly move my hand so I’m wiping the tears from his eyes. “I’ll always be right here.” I say as I softly move my hand from his face and place it on his heart, causing him to cry harder. “Everything is going to be ok Niall.”

“No it’s not Molly. YOU HAVE CANCER FOR GOD SAKES!” Why you?! What have you ever done?! You’ve never done ANYTHING to deserve this Molly! You’re the best person I’ve ever known, you’ve NEVER done anything to hurt ANYONE! NOT ONE PERSON!” His tears fall harder now, and he’s unable to stop them.

I close my eyes, soaking everything in. His words hurt, but I know it’s not me he’s angry at.

I keep my eyes closed as I start to speak. “Niall, I know it’s hard on you, but can you imagine how hard it is on everybody else, especially me? I know you’re upset, and I am too, but I need you now more than ever to be here for me. You mean more to me than anybody else in my life, therefore you are the person I need more than anything now, and until the end.”

His tears suddenly stopped as he looked up into my eyes, biting his lip.

“Molly, I need to tell you something.” He finally said after a few moments of silence.

I just stared up at him, intrigued by what he would say next.

“Molly, i am completely and totally in love with you. And I’m not just saying that. I always have been, even when we were best friends.”

“I love you too Niall, more than you could ever know.”

He placed a single hand on my cheek. “I’m not done yet Molly.” He spoke so seriously, I knew what he was about to do would be important.

Suddenly his hand was off my cheek and he was kneeling below me.

I stared down at him with wide eyes, knowing what was to come next.

“Molly, I may not have a ring or a chapel, but considering we aren’t entirely sure of what is to come, I need to know that no matter what, we will stand by each other and accept whatever happens, and go through it all together.” He took a long pause. “Will you marry me?”

~

My trance was broken when I felt Niall’s perfect skin touch my face as his soft fingers traced the outline of my forehead.

I look up at him and smile, still not able to believe how lucky I was to call him mine.

I look down at our hands, taking in the moment as I begin to play with the beautiful ring on his fourth finger.

He repositions himself so my head is resting on his chest. He begin playing with my hair, humming the tune to Gotta Be You, eventually singing the lyrics softly into my ear.

When the song was done, he kisses the top of my head, whispering into my hair, “You are the best thing that has ever happened to me Molly. I love you more than anything. You are my entire world.”

And I knew at that exact moment, everything would change. For me, for Niall. Nothing would ever be the same, but we would always be together.

I closed my eyes and took in his scent. I felt so weak as I began to fall asleep, Niall’s arms wrapping around me as he rests his head upon mine.

I feel myself relax as I began to think of my life. All the good things. My family, Niall, our four best friends. I feel myself drift as I relive my favorite memories over and over in my mind, not leaving out a single detail.

Sometimes the most unwanted destinies can be the ones that change everything.

The memories overcome me as I begin to fade away, knowing that Niall is still with me, and he always would be.

The End <3
